Jojo’s current practice explores representations of real and fictional female protagonists. Her films, objects, paintings and prints are influenced by where the past and the present meet and overlap. In her film work she often uses the structure of a movie trailer as a starting point to present a fast-paced, thrill-seeking, non-linear narrative. Jojo is particularly interested in the ability of sound and music to manipulate mood, and often employs this device to re-present and play with her female characters and the stories in which they inhabit.
