Jawbreaker, 2017 Photography, text, zine. 5 inches by 3 inches NOT FOR SALE I completed a project that i did on the topic of 'Lolita' the book, taking inspiration for the name jawbreaker from the quote 'It's called a jawbreaker. It's supposed to break your jaw. Want one?' which i took as her minor act of revolt by offering him something hoping he will hurt himself. i decided to work from the idea of traditional purity and subverting it, like how a 'lolita' is normally super cute but the book is disgusting and glorifies paedophilia. my work combines original polaroid images linking to bible quotes placed next to them. The actual piece is a small handheld hand sewn zine.
